Freedom, Feminism And The Modern World

Image
Welcome to the modern world! A world where we all feel extraordinary with ordinary knowledge. Oops! I shouldn’t have said it. But fine. After all, we all got freedom of speech.  In the digital world, everyone has become opinionated as we are communicating like never before.  Big thanks to the power of phones and the net.  At times, I’m confused, if the modern world is a curse or a boon?  No doubts, I love all the technologies around. But the concern here is are we using it right and for the right? Have we well-understood words like freedom, feminism, equality, sexism, and a lot many topics that we talk about almost every day? Have we? Or do we just gain knowledge from some “self-proclaimed” experts on social media?  My dad once told me, “ if people were to name based on their jobs, then everyone would be an opinionist ”. And I find it so true in today’s time. It’s not that back in generations people lacked an opinion. Since mankind, there are opinions. What we l...

FRiENDSHIP! Is Real?

Welcome to the world of friendship! Ops... digital friendship.  Today, on friendship day... I'm missing going for shopping a day prior to friendship day to get " friendship bands " under different tags in school, "just friends, good friends, and the most important one Best Friend . I miss counting on bands after collecting it all day long and cherishing them for the next week at-least.  Then, I joined college and friendship day wasn't limited to bands anymore, it turned into an excuse to go out and party. The celebration was bigger than in school as we were also growing with time.   Now I look around, there are no bands and no outings. I feel like I'm not growing anymore. Or maybe, I'm turning old.  With years, life happened! All my lifetime friends (the greatest investments) have moved to different cities and countries. And the only pleasure left is it to share memories with a " HAPPY FRIENDSHIP DAY " message. Oh, we entered the era of the digi...

Let’s Listen Before We All Are Lost!

What world are we living in? Is it you and me depressed or the entire world? What' wrong with us, timing, or just us? Since the lockdown or even before, depression has always been hitting our generation like anything else. What concerns me more is our attitude towards it.  Depression is not a mental disorder, its a phase , and let's accept a fact that we all go through it -little or more. Some can deal with it, but not everyone is a good swimmer. And that's why we need to deal with more power and strength to save our friends, family, and society.  Over time, " Happiness has become a myth ", just a myth. We are just happy in our pictures, and we are so much into flaunting it that all our smiling pictures and happy moments are on social media channels. And what drives our happiness these days is no. of likes we get on our so-called, "pretending to be happy" pictures.  Do we flaunt our fears and failures, like happiness and success? If no, why? Aren't t...
